MCTE Values update

Dear All

I checked with MCTE Sales value for previous months (jan, feb, march etc ) for 2012 it is still getting updated, As far as my understanding once the period is closed no more documents are posted in closed period hence there should not be any changes in the sales value in MCTE, please provide me reason for updation.
