Multivalue error on Detail variable

Hello,

I am working on a report which is coming from two BEx queries.

Query 1:

User Name Report Name Session

Query 2:

User Name Fund Center Department

Output:

Fund Center Department User Name Report Name CountofReports

I have merged the User Name and created detail variables for Fund Center and Department.

In my scenario, a user can be mapped to more than one department due to which I get #multivalue error when I use the Department detail variable.

I should be showing each department in separate rows for a user.

Eg

Error Output:

Fund Center Department User Name Report Name Countofsession

Medicine #Multivalue User1 ZQW_1 5

Actual Output:

Fund Center Department User Name Report Name Countofsessions

Medicine AP User1 ZQW_1 5

Medicine QA User1 ZQW_1 5

I have gone through most of the discussions from below but it did not resolve my issue.

https://onedx.find.sap.com/s#t=multivalue%20error&n=1&p=default&repo=srh

Can someone please suggest on this?

right click on the table-format table and check the checkbox "avoid duplidate row aggegation" and see

Show 2 Share

If I check that, it gives me more records than expected

Is there any other way for this?

This article https://archive.sap.com/discussions/thread/1768043 did help me to some extent, but when I do this, the users from Query 1 do not show up under the merged User Name dimension, as few users from Query 1 do not have Fund Center and Department and hence they totally dont show up in the list.

Even if the users dont have fund center and Department, they should show up in the table, like below

Fund Center Department User Name Report Name Countofsessions

Blank Blank User2 ZHJ_1 8

Hi,

on the table you can set do not aggregate, this will resolve the mulit error, but you will see redundant records will be shown as well, those can be filtered out creating variables and filters on them.
