Payroll Query_Payroll results not available for previous months,

Dear Experts,

My client went live on April, 2012. They ran payroll only for that month and now they want to restart running payroll as of latest Jan, 2013.

I knew that there would be a problem in generating Form-16 for the financial year 2012-2013.

And would there be any other implications apart from Form-16 generation as there is no payroll results available for previous months?

Please advice what best solution i can suggest to my client.

Hi Surekha

1. The best option will be to try and upload the payroll results legacy data using some report like RPULKT00.

2. Try to run the payroll adjusting the control record and master data till date and fill the payroll tables (You will need to create the master data  and keep  it up to date as per legacy data .

3.If you are currently using HR master data but not running the payroll , then running the payroll will run in retro and update the tables but you need to check and recheck if the amounts are ok . not the best option .

Check out ... its a tricky situation .But if I were you I might try option 2.

Thanks for your reply and even i would like to go for 2 option because they can generate FORM-16 out of SAP for 2012-13 financial year.

And please let me have clarity on below points too:

1. Could you plz explain me how to upload the payroll results legacy data using the report RPULKT00.

2. If i upload payroll results legacy data would there be any additional benefits apart from FORM-16 generation.

Thanks for your reply.

I referred both the notes 506128 and 563491. As per the note 506128, the following entries should be entered in T558C table.

WageDescription  Legacydata   Entryrequiredfor reportingRemarks type required for in T558C.

There are no such columns available in T558C in R/3 to make such changes as per that note.

And my one more observation from your reply is this process seems to be similar to mid year go live.

Please tell me what changes should be done to INLK schema and how to process further during uploading payroll results?

this process same as mid year golive only using with schema INLK.

if your are running the payroll from the month of Feb, 2012 onwards means Control record would be Feb, 2012 and not in released position. just maintain py period 02 2012 and Earlies rectro accounting period also 02 2012.

for your reference:

update the table T558b and T558c for all the periods upto march 2013.
