Hai;
our client is having a new sap ecc 6 ehp 5. once i check the time zone (netweaver-gen. settings-time zone), no values are there.
first i try to create time zone rule. But it is throwing a warning message :
Message no. SV019
but i can create rule with y or z. but in ides rules for india is P0530.
how to set this in new client.
Also, i have checked note 198411. whether i need to follow that, by downloading the current time zone
Hi,
You can use Tcode STZAC to set the timezones in SAP. You also need to make sure that you restart both SAP system and DB system to activate the change.
Please refer the below links for more reference.

But, in our sap, there is no time zone data. once i try to create a time zone rule, it is throwing above warning.
so u mean to say, instead of entering, for eg; india p0530, we need to apply above mentioned sap note. is it correct?
but i can create rule with y or z. i want to create time zone rule for india, say P0530. how?
Hi Ypjib,
Perform/Check these simple IMG activities....
Maintain the system settings in the client. Use the Maintain Time Zones activity if you want to check the time zone settings or if the time zone you need does not exist. You activate the time zone function settings by selecting the Flag Time Zones enabled field in the Customizing table created for that purpose.
Basis Customizing includes defining time zones, their daylight savings rules, and their offsets from Universal Time Coordinated (UTC) and activating the time zone function. If you activate the time zone function, the system will display local dates and times in date proposals and validations.
Much of the required basis Customizing is already configured in your system; however, you can change it or add to it as required.
Use the Maintain Geographical Assignments activity to check the assignment of time zones to geographical areas.
Groups of users in a region or general geographical area should use their organization's (company code's) time zone, even if it is not exactly the same time zone as their local time zone. For example, if all systems in Asia are using the same local time zone, the result is that the system will exhibit the same behavior, such as proposing the same posting date.
The SAP system uses these assignments to determine the objects' time zones when converting between objects' local times and time stamps.
If a user and the system are in different time zones, specify the user's time zone in the user profile. (If the user and system are in the same time zone, you can skip this step.)
Providing this time zone information in the profile allows users to see proposed dates and validations in terms of his or her local time.
After you log on again, check the system status to ensure that the Time Zone function is working properly.
Hi,
You can download the zip file and execute the report TZCUSTIM and you can upload the dat file in the zip( Please unzip before doing it).
Please go through the PDF documentation that is available inside the ZIP for more information.
If you wish to create a new time zone, you must first determine the time zone rules and the
daylight saving time rules. Then you define the time zone. Proceed as follows:
1. Define the variable daylight saving time rules or the respecitve fixed daylight saving time
date.
2. In the overview screen 'D\OLJKW VDYLQJ WLPH UXOHV, define the time differences that are
caused by daylight saving time.
3. Then, in the overview screen 7LPH ]RQH UXOHV, define the time differences that are caused
by the time zones.
4. In the overview screen 7LPH ]RQHV, define the time zone key.
5. As soon as you have filled in the respecitve tables, save your data to the database.
6. Return to the activity0DLQWDLQ V\VWHP VHWWLQJV , and then execute the remaining steps.
Time Zones are defined in table TTZCU..... Please check if the entries exists in this table......
