How to Identify a object in transport request whether it is going add/delete object from the target system

Hi,

I had collected few transformations earlier. later on Requirement changed and I had created new transformations between diff source and same target. Both the earlier transformation which is already present in the production need to delete and the new transformation need to create in the production are collected in the same transport request.

I have collected deleted transformation and new transformation both in development system in a same request. Now if I click on the task, it is showing me both the transformations but I am not getting any way to review the transport request to be sure that deletion request and creation request are collected properly. Is there any way to know which object is going to delete and which object is going to create by seeing the transport request in se10.

Thanks in advance,

Regards

Snehasish

    Hi,

As suman said, do best practice to collect deletion and creation objects in different transport requests.

Is there any way to know which object is going to delete and which object is going to create by seeing the transport request in se10?

    - Go to se01 - Give your Transport request and check logs.

Go to Method execution - See the Job logs.

You will find Transformation importing with deletion mode.

    Hi Snehasish,

It's not directly possible to infer the objects in a TR by just seeing whether it's created or deleted.

But, you can see it in SLG1 transaction.

Go to SLG1 -> Give Object and SubObject type as RSTRFN and TRFN_DEL respectively and give a specified date of deletion.

You can get the deletion job logs and from which you can match transformation entries in your TR.

And BTW, it won't be a problem in capturing both deletion and creation transformations in a same TR. We did it many times and no transport errors were encountered.

    Hi,

It is a wrong practice to collect both Deletion and new ones in a single request. Please delete the request which you have created for both.

First, you have to create a TR for deletion and move till Prod. Then those transformations will be deleted in target systems.

After cross checking properly in Prod, you need to collect the new Transformations in a new request and move across all systems.
