Forecast transfer to ECC

Hello experts:

When transferring the forecast to ECC from DP, how does the system know which connected ECC system the forecast will be transferred to?

We are transferring to ECC version "DV" but don't see the PIRs in ECC after the transfer using a b/g job.

Hi,

If u first want to check whether ur jobs have run successfully or not, then u can execute the given 2 Tcode.

1) /SAPAPO/MC8I : Check DP job in background

2) /SAPAPO/MC8K : Job log management.

The steps needed in forecast release to ECC are :

.have set up your products in SAP APO

.have set up your locations in SAP APO

·have created a data view for this task in SAP APO.with

           ¡  future planning horizon only

ii planning buckets profile with one periodicity only

iii Only the key figure(s) that you want to transfer to SAP R/3

.have set the planning strategy of each material in SAP R/3.

This should transfer the data without errors and also please check the same in MD04
if you can see it there..

There might be couple of things to be checked :

1) have you set up the publication rules for transfer of PIR? if not then try to take a look into that by using SPRO (has to be set up for each location)

2) check the RFC destinations and user passwords that might have expired.if yes then reset it.

System checks for  Business system group assigned to Prod x Loc master data.

You can find the same info in Prod x Loc master data in Properties node.

That's what I thought but then also thought that it might a stretch to do it for every mat-loc combo ...so thanks for clarifying. One more thing...is CIF model for PIRs needed for forecast transfer 'TO' ECC?

Hi,

You don't need Intergration model active for PIR's to be transferred to ECC.

Have you maintained Distribution definition 51 - Planned independent requirements in SPRO?

Thanks,
Murali

Is "Distribution definition 51 - Planned independent requirements in SPRO" mandatory?

Where can I see the error log?
