We have added few custom fields at checklist item level. Appending the CI structure is updating the database table with the custom field entries. But this happens only when the fields are entered manually. If we default some of the field value by program, the values are not updated into the database table. System does not identify defaulted input fields as changed fields and ignores them while saving.
We implemented our code in post-exit of WDDOMODIFYVIEW method in the view (Component DPR_TABLE_EXT). Since the WD component is enhanced using field groups, the view is updated with custom fields dynamically at run time.
Please advice if anybody has some clue to correct this issue.
