VL10b maximum total quantity to process

Hello Gurus,

For workload purposes, I would like to limit the Total number of items (in pieces) to be processed into Deliveries to a max.

Now, I can do that after running the VL10b and totalize the list, and estimate if I should select for example 50 % or 75 % of the items.
This however, is only an option for foreground processing.

It is the background processing mode that I am searching a solution for.

I just spent some time exploring the configurable details of VL10b such as Standard Variant for Parameter ID, Scenario, User Role Sales Order and purchase order items, List Profile under IMG / Shipping / Worklists.
Sofar, no options found to define a Maximum.

Do you have any -creative- thoughts?

Are you looking for something like LTL based on weight of the delivery?

I am 'simply' looking for the option to select on day X (and have this in a variant for Shipping Point YYYY) the first open Sales orders with a totalized open quantity of 350. The orders beond this point should not be selected/processed.

There should be some logic to split as indicated by you above.  It would be better if you also tell us on what logic, that would be decided.  Hope you should be aware, based on certain parameters, you will get delivery split and I am sure, you would have explored those functionalities.   Of course, the note referred by Shiva explains in detail on this and you can go through that.

Did you check the delivery split functionality? Check OSS note Note 546668 - FAQ: Delivery split when creating deliveries point 6 and Note 166397 - Delivery split according to customer field ZUKRL for splitting deliveries with certain critieria.
