RG23D updation

Hi Gurus,

In the depot scenario for imports, after the GRN is done, we update the RG23D in J1IG. In this the quantities get updated only. Do we have to update the values manually in this transaction. The values are required by the sales team to pass on the values to the end customer so that he can take a credit..Also the traded material if it is maintained other than non cenvatable in J1ID, the RG23D tab appears in MIGO itself or else it has to be updated in J1IG. What is the correct process to be followed.

Thanks in advance

You need to find workaround. If we update register by MIGO, correct quantity and values will get updated, else problem like you are facing. There is issue with depot procurement, if we make it cenvatable, duties wont get inventoried, if we make it non cenvatalbe, RG23D wont get updated.

The following process needs to be implemented in case of Import Depot

      1. Planned delivery miro ( where custom vendor will get the duties according to the bill of entry)

      2. MIGO

      3. J1ig

      4. MIRO

You will get exact quantity from migo and values from planned delivery miro. So it will get hit to reciept column in rg23d and when sale will happen it will hit the issue from the same entry.
