Hello,
I installed DAA on my managed system using SLD registration method.
I see that below processes are running for SMD on managed system SID2:
dvxadm | 4755 3881 0 19:27 pts/0 | 00:00:00 grep DAA |
daaadm 14429 21066 1 2012 ? | 06:03:23 /usr/sap/DAA/SMDA98/exe/jstart -appTrc -nodeId=0 pf=/usr/sap/DAA/SYS/profile/DAA_SMDA98_host2 -hostvm -nodeName=smdagent -file=/usr/sap/DAA/SMDA98/SMDAgent/smdagent.properties -jvmFile=/usr/sap/DAA/SMDA98/work/jstart.jvm -traceFile=/usr/sap/DAA/SMDA98/work/dev_smdagent -javaOutFile=/usr/sap/DAA/SMDA98/work/jvm_smdagent.out | |
daaadm 20969 | 1 0 2012 ? | 00:00:24 /usr/sap/DAA/SMDA98/exe/sapstartsrv pf=/usr/sap/DAA/SYS/profile/DAA_SMDA98_host2 -D -u daaadm |
daaadm 21053 | 1 0 2012 ? | 00:00:00 sapstart pf=/usr/sap/DAA/SYS/profile/DAA_SMDA98_host2 |
daaadm 21066 21053 0 2012 ? | 00:00:02 jc.sapDAA_SMDA98 pf=/usr/sap/DAA/SYS/profile/DAA_SMDA98_host2 |
Under local SLD of solman SID1 I see two agents one for solman sid1 & other for sid2
Also under SLD Agent candidates ->SLD View of Agent administration on solamn I see both agents connected.
But under SLD Agent candidates -> SMD view I see only agent for solman SID1.
Under SMD Agent Admin -> Agents ->Connection Logs I see below error for managed system SID2 agent :
Server ping agent 'host2' failed ( call error).
But i am able to ping host2 from solman & vice versa.
If I check the logs at OS level of managed system SID2 under smd.1.connector.listener.log i see :
Jan 6, 2013 7:41:57 PM [Thread[ExRun:default_2,5,default:ExecTG]] Info | [SMDAgent.IConnectionStatusListener.statusChanged] SMD Agent connection status changed from CONNECTED to DISCONNECTED |
Kindly request your help to connect SMD agent on managed system SID2 to solman SID1.
Because of this i get error under Managed system configuration step for managed system SID2 ->Assign Diagnostics Agent.
Thanks,
Shradha
Hi shradha,
When you are doing managed system configuration , what sap recommended.
1. you don't need to register the SMD agent from sld.(you will face issue)
If you want so , just check the hosts file on both the server of solman and also where diagnostic agent is installed, you need to maintain the host entries in both the hosts file
3. Run this command
smdsetup managingconf hostname :"solamn host name" port:"50004" user:"solman_admin" pwd:"XXXX" servername:"hostname where smd agent is installed"
Restart the smd agent it will work fine.
With Regards
Ashutosh
