issues in sldcheck and sldapicust

Hi All,

I am unable to launch the nwa or j2ee start page when i give sldcheck in new PI7.3(abap+java) system  .Below are the errors.I have tried with users sldapiuser and slddsuser,piappluser.It is not working fine.I have assigned the necessary role to piappluser,slddsuser and sldapiuser.But still facing issues when i give sldcheck and sldapicust too.

The above note is for SAP BASIS release 710 .The system is having basis release 731( PI 7.3 EHP1).Will the note be applicable for this...?

Hi Ram,

Follow the instruction of the below sap notes

Note 1678815 - PI Upgrade: SLD Permission Errors

Note 1617234 - Incorrect SLD security role assignments after upgrad

Follow the manual instruction in sap note 1617234 hopefully resolve your issue.

Moreever try this snote as well Note 1677755 - PFUD: Comparison of indirect assignments incomplete

Hi Ashutosh,

Now am able to do the SLDCHECK and am not getting errors.I follwed the above SAP notes and other SAP note 1309239 too to crosscheck if my installation and post activities are fine.They were fine.

The main issue was the service user SLD_CL_<SID> that we give for SLD  API customization was locked at the Java side.I have removed the lock via user management and resetted the password and thereafter am able to get SLDCHECK without errors and warnings.

Now when i give SLDCHECK , it is not openeing properly in the IE and i have added the hostname under /etc/hosts and still when i try giving SLDCHECK , the JAVA BROWSER is not opening via IE. Let me know if anything that has to be done too.?.....

Hi Ram,

You need to maintain the host file entry in your system as well.

On your system where you are opening the sapgui.

goto start of your window system -> click on run--> in run type drivers-->goto etc and open the host file out there and enter the entry out there. It will work

Moreever if you are using the IE 9 then change it to IE7 or IE8

Open the internet explorer-->goto tools--> over there look for developer tool --> over there you will get option to change it.

If not get successfull,

you can do it :

http://<ip_address_of_sld>:<portnumber>/sld

Maintained the hostname in the server as well as in the desktop too.SLDCHECK is working fine.

Hi basis,

1. When you run the NWA Configuration wizard for SLD, then it will create the SLD user and it will create the entry automatically.

2. Run the transaction SLDAPICUST.

3. Maintain the user SLDAPIUSER or SLDDSUSER , its password and the port number.

4. Perform the test connection over there.

Moreover , check whether you can access the port 50000 from the server to the sld server.

Check by telnet.

telnet <hostname for sld> 50000

Since its linux you can give a try with this command.

nc -z <sld fully qualified name> 50000

If connection get failed to 50000 port by using the above command . then ask the os team to open the port 50000.

Hi All,

i have checked the rfc connection of SAPSLDAPI and LCRSAPRFC .The connection seems to be fine too.I have checked the rfc connection to integration server and that is fine with user PIAPPLUSER too,But getting issues only with SLDAPICUST and SLDCHECK.I have used same user PIAPPLUSER and tried again.....it not working properly and giving the same errors as above

i have ran the config wizard and should i re-run it again.....While ruuning the first time, few service users were created and i have enterd the credentials too.I did not face any issue while running wizard and let me know your suggestions too

Hi,

No need to run NWA wizard again. Just check if the user maintained in SLDAPICUST is having enough authorization and instead of testing sldcheck, test connection from sldapicust should be working fine.

At the very first glance, I am suspecting on the user which is maintained in SLDAPICUST transaction.

Plz check and verify.

I have tested with PIAPPLUSER and i have maintained the hostname and port number too

Testing HTTP connection to the SLD server...

An exception has occurred:

Exception in SLD client: AbapSLDRequestHandler.ping(): CIM_ERR_FAILED: HTTP response code: 403 Forbidden

Iam still facing issue with this ....Let me know what further i can do

Hi Srini,

As per the above mentioned link, the service users PIDIRUSER, PILSUSER, PISUPER,PIAPPLUSER are done during installation ,but these users are not getting reflected at the ABAP end

Therefore i created the user PIAPPLUSER manually at the abap end and grnated the SAP_XI_APPL_SERV_USER too.I created the sldapiuser and slddsuser with same role and still i have connection issues

Let me know what next can i do,,,,,,,Can i create manually them at ABAP end
