Newly Created Characteristic for Demand Planning not Working

Dear Gurus,

I created a new characteristic to to be used in demand planning, I added it to the planning object structure, then chose to create characteristic combination manually, the system is not displaying my characteristic, only the standard characteristics are displayed.

Any solutions ??
