Currency conversion

Hi,

few of my reports are in euro so i need to do a currency conversion from euro to dollars can anyone help me with this and any documentation is apprecaited and rewarded too.

Hi Aviary ,

If you want currency translation in query .

Right click on key figure in Query designer and click on properties

In currency translation area select Currency conversion key and target currency .

In the target currency select US dollar you will get key figure amount in US dollars .

does one need to create a translation key in rrc1 in order to achieve this or we can directly goto query designer and specify in the properties of that kf.

if tranlsation key need not be created for this ,then could u tell when would one create it?

I suggest to translate the currency into USD in query,because you'll not lose information about the origional currency.

Yes,

you are absolutely right.why because whenever you want to seethe originalcurrency,you can seein cube.If single currency tranfer is required better doit in Query desiner.If number of currencies exist better write update rule for of the cube.Suresh
