Customer Specific Pricing from ERP to CRM

Former Member

Hello Experts,

I need your help on a issue with reference to customer specific pricing getting updated in CRM. We are maintaining the Customer in CRM and the same is getting replicated to ERP. After a customer is created I create an opportunity for the customer and assign a material to the customer at std price. Now we maintain the customer specific price in ERP and save. This price should ideally get updated in the opportunity but it is not happening. However when I am creating a sales order for this opportunity as a follow up activity. The sales order is picking the customer specific price maintained in ERP.

I would really appreciate your help on the issue.

Thanks

Rahul

Hi Rahul,

Please confirm me whether my understanding is correct OR not.

  • Opportunity created with customer and material
  • For Material customer specific price is maintain
  • Created sales order as follow up to opportunity and new price is getting display (Customer specific price)
  • On opening existing opportunity updated price is not getting display

If above is the scenario then in opportunity undre price tab you need to click on "Reprice" button so that it will re determine the price. Once a transaction is saved then it will not redetermine the price.

If my understanding is wrong then please correct me so that i can help you over it.

Hello Ankush,

Your understanding is correct.

  1. Customer is being created in CRM and getting replicated to ERP.
  2. Then an opportunity is being created in CRM with Material (standard price)
  3. Customer specific pricing is being maintained in ERP.
  4. After the pricing is maintained in ERP we create a sales order in CRM as follow up to the opportunity.
  5. The problem I am facing is that the Sales order is picking the customer specific pricing maintained in ERP, but the pricing in opportunity is not getting updated to customer specific pricing.

I tried the reprice tab in the pricing in opportunity but it did not get updated. Also I am slightly confused, as to when you say the price will not get redetermined ones the transaction is saved? What transaction are we talking about here. As we can only create the sales order after saving the opportunity. Please advise if I am missing something.

Hi,

Once an opportunity is saved with pricing data and after this if there is any changes in condition record it will not get update to opportunity transaction automatically. User need to click on "Reprice" button to re determine the pricing record.

After clicking on "Reprice" option as well if still it is not taking the valid condition record then you can analyzied it by "Price Trace". Enable price trace for your SAP user ID and you can view the access sequence and condition table which this condition type is using to verify the condition record.

Try one more option create a new opportunity with the same set of data and you can verify what pricing data it is picking up.

Thanks Ankush,

Just one more clarification. If I do reprice, it will also effect my other tax conditions or I can define what all conditions to be repriced.

Thanks ones again.

Hi,

To enable price trace go to transaction "SU3" select your login user and under parameter tab add "PRC_TRACE" and under value record "X" and save it.

After when when you go to your transaction under price details are you will have option of price trace.

Hi,

As advised by you I added the price trace as parameter value to my user id but still I am not able to see a price trace option in pricing details. What may I be doing wrong?

In Item condition tab select the condition type and click on :Accessess" button. It will display the Trace for the pricing procedure.
