J2EE for Solution Manager 7

Hi friends,

  Am installing Solution Manager on Windows 2008/sqlserver. Started sapinst from the master installation DVD, it prompted for the java environment. I downloaded SAP JVM and set environment variable SAPINST_JRE_HOME accordingly. I also downloaded

Now when I restart sapinst  ,I chose Central System (for database + all services in one box) and then it asks for Java Component Solman40SR4. The label it wants is SAP:J2EE-CD_SOLMAN40SR4:700:J2EE-CD:j2ee-cd:*  That's not on the kernel, not on the Installation Master, not on the SR4 Java Components.

Helllo

You need to download the CD label  SAP Solution M. 7.0 SR4 Java Comp. 1 of 4 "51033521_1" to  "51033521_4".

I downloaded those but the closest label I could find was : SAP:UT_SOLMAN40SR4:NW04SSR3:SP14:*:*

Hello Claudio,

Did you install solution manager 7.0 or Solution manager.70 EhP1?

I`ve found post http://sap.ittoolbox.com/groups/technical-functional/sap-basis/netweaver-2004s-installation-under-vm... and one guy wrote:

Hi Claudio,

   Inside the files extracted from the CD  51033521_1" to  "51033521_4". You can find the following sub folders.

JAVA_EXPORT
	JAVA_EXPORT_JDMP
	JAVA_EXPORT_SDM
	JAVA_J2EE_OSINDEP
	JAVA_J2EE_OSINDEP_J2EE_INST
	JAVA_J2EE_OSINDEP_SMD
	JAVA_J2EE_OSINDEP_UT
	JAVA_UT_SOLMAN

Navigate into JAVA_UT_SOLMAN folder and point to LABEL.ASC File and check whether it works.

Thanks all & have a bug-free 2013....

SAP FAN, I am installing plain Release 7.0 .

Maria Joseph, the label on that folder has SAP:UT_SOLMAN:SOLMAN40SR4:SP14:*:* ,but Sapinst demands SAP:J2EE-CD_SOLMAN40SR4:700:J2EE-CD:j2ee-cd:*  ...

So I'm still stuck ; I downloaded all the software except the sqlserver installer but that label is nowhere to be found...

Please check with the sub folders in java_export and see whether any label.ASC file is available within the export dump.

Hi friends thanks for your answers,

What happened was I had unzipped the rars in my Windows 7 PC and transferred those to the server, and unfortunately the unzip operation did NOT create all folders. (but, windows-like, did not report errors! )

So I unzipped in the Windows server and all folders were complete.
