Search String for Electronic Bank Statement - MT940

Dear Experts !

We are configuring Electronic Bank Statement with MT940 format for my client. The bank is providing two types of customer references (one reference is having 16 digit numeric and the second reference is having 10 digit numeric) for the same bank identification code (NTRF). I tried creating search string to identify those customer references. The first search string that i have created is (^| )################( |$)|(^| )##########( |$), but it is identifying only the 16 digit numeric customer references and not recognizing the 10 digit numeric customer reference. The second search string that i have created is (^| )##########( |$)|(^| )################( |$), but it is identifying 10 digit numeric customer reference and not recognizing 16 digit numeric customer references. No search string is identifying both the customer references for different transactions which have the same identification code (NTRF)

Please advise me on how to go ahead with the current requirement in EBS.
