how to select records in the list ?

I have an internal table in that first field is of type c and len 1 and i am printing this as check box using the write stmt. In my list i have the check box and the records,now my requirement is that when i select the checkboxes in the list and press the pushbutton which is in the application tool bar all the selected records should come into another internal table.
