Hi Expert,
I am facing the following issue with PO and GATP.
If PO receiving Date and the MBdat is on the same day ( ex: MAD= PO=12/24/2012), the PO is considering for SO confirmation.
And the stock at that point of time is ZERO. Also the settings are maintained for considering the PO for SO confirmation.
But if the PO date is on 12/23/2012 and MBdat is on 12/24/2012 is not considering.
Is it the issue with “Past receipts not considered” (Scope Of check)?
Also “Past receipts” means what? Is it from current date to past for Mbdate to Past?
Awaiting the response.
Thanks

Hi Rajendran,
There is not much clarity in your example;
When you say PO recieving date, are you referring to availability date of PO, and with MBDAT are you referring to MAD of SO.
It will be great if you can clearly explain your scenario for ease of understanding, also few snapshots would be helpfull.

Hi Rajendran,
If this is the case then your doubt of considering past receipt should solve this issue.
Also regarding your doubt on what does Past receipt means, refer the comment from SAP help.
Choose the corresponding entry in the Past rcpts field, if past receipts should be taken into account in the product availability check.
The Past rcpts indicator controls whether past receipts (referring to the time of the check) can be used to confirm a requirement.
So ideally it should be based on required delivery date of sales order.
Hope this solve your issue.

Hi Rejish,
The availability date of a PO document is completely dependent on the GR processing end time. It is the same date / time stamp at which it is being shown as available in the //AC03 or CO09 transaction. And, all the Sales document would refer to this particular date for achieving the confirmation situation.
Thank you
Babu Kilari
Thanks Babu.
Just quoting an example below:
If PO reciving time(Inbound delivery creation)= 12/27/2012 14:00:00
SO MAD= 12/27/2012 12:00:00
In the above scenario, we will get a confirmation or not, ( assuming NO stock available and only this PO is there )
If PO reciving time( Inbound delivery creation)= 12/27/2012 11:00:00
SO MAD= 12/27/2012 14:00:00
Confirm or not ?
Again My initial question " Past recpt means what ?" For current date to past or from MAD to past ?
I think I am not dragging the things. Please help me on this.
Tks

Hi Rejish,
In the case - 1 explained by you above :- SO may get confirmation depending on the configuration that you have set up. What is the delay ? If the delay is enough to cover the future reciept, system does the forward scheduling and it gets confirmation against the PO document.
In the case - 2 explained by you above :- SO will receives the confirmation against the PO.
Thank you
Babu Kilari
Hey Rajendran,
It clearly mentions in SAP help that past receipt is from the time of the check,
The Past rcpts indicator controls whether past receipts (referring to the time of the check) can be used to confirm a requirement.
What is the worrying point here for you, and what strange behavior you are observing.
