Business Server Page (BSP) error

When creatiing WEB-interface in BPS, system creates everything without mistakes, during the check mistakes are not present either, and at preliminary viewing gives out a mistake. I check through transaction sicf on bsp services it gives out the same mistake.

Hi,

It seems like a FQDN (Fully qualified Domain Name) error. You can check the BSP forum for this.

Essentially, your SAP system needs to have such name (say for example acme.com), this you can maintain in profile parameter icm/host_name_full.

Once you have this (and have the system restarted for this to take effect) it should work. In case your browser doesn't understand the address (say for example you set the name as sapsrv1.bw1, now your URL would look something like http://sapsrv1.bw1:80000/, and it may not be reached by the browser). To address this, set this address in your hosts file which you can find in windows/system32/drivers/etc dir if you are on windows, or similar host file on other os (this is to be done on your PC) with corresponding ip addr eg entry in the hosts file would look like

sapsrv1.bw 192.168.1.1

Now you should be able to run the BSP. (If the browser still doesn't reach there, you need to set this ip as not to be reached through proxy in your browser connection settings).
