How to extend values of contact permission

Dear All,

What are the proposed ways of extending "Contact permission" values (BUT000-CONTACT).

The related domain BU_contact has values

1 Allowed

2 Disallowed

3 Check Permission

Is that ok to extend this standard domain through generating the access key? Or would you recommend other way.
