Web Dynpro - when I click on MAIN VIEW, msg to log on to Dev?

Hi

We just upgraded from 4.7 to ECC 6 and I'm going through some web dynpro demos.

But every time I click on MAIN VIEW I get the following popup:

Title: Windows Security

Content: The server ****dev at SAP NetWeaver Application Server [***/001]

requires a username and password

Warning: This server is requesting that your username and password be

sent in an insecure manner (basic authentication without a secure

connection).

textbox for username

textbox for password

checkbox to remember credentials

It works fine if I log on to dev, but if I navigate around a bit and go back to the MAIN VIEW, I'm promted every time to log on. I've selected the checkbox to remember credentials and only need to enter to log on, but still this isn't normal. I've asked around and tried to find such a question and answer on scn, but no luck (yet).

Not sure if this has something to do with ICF activation settings or our Network rules?

Please assist/advise.
