Withholding Tax Code

Hi Experts,

We are defining our withholding tax codes. Our company is using Withholding Tax Type W1 (Withholding tax upon payment).

We currently have more than 100 tax codes to be maintained.  However, the tax code field is limited to only 2 digits (00-99).  Kindly advise if there is a way to change the field length to 3 digits.

its a standard table , i dont think it is possible to change the field length, better option is to use with alphanumeric characters for this. Like A1 A2.....

Tax code length only 2 digits and use the Alphanumeric option.

If you required more tax concept pelase increase the Tax type from 2 to 3 digit with help of

1068968 WT: Increasing the field size of Tax type number

then you can use the more tax combination.

like maintain the tax  rate in tax code (2%) ex: w1

and create more tax types   W1 W1 (194c)

                                 and    W2  W1 (194j)

You are able to create over than 1000 tax codes once you define multiple tax types.

Define a range o tax type and tax code and set your properly aliquote.

Hi ,

The tax code will accept two digits only, but it alphanumeric.

So you can define tax codes as per our your requirement.

As Shihab suggested, go for Alpha Numeric combination like A1, A2, A3..........It helps in future also. Increasing the length of the tax code filed is not advisable and more over it creates lot of mess in understanding.
