MDM 5.5 learning infrastructure

Hello:

I want to learn about MDM 5.5 and I have a server to install it into... what would be a recommended landscape for me to learn and also maybe create some demos?

I've been searching the sdn and help sap but it seems that all the documents are about What MDM 5.5 is about, introduction, installation etc.... I'd like a little more "hands on" approach....

I'd want to show some demos on web pages, consolidating data, MDM print and well.... impressive stuff. I don't think I'll need web AS for MDM 5.5 right? I attended a mini ramp up course and we only used MDM and SQL server... the web pages that we saw were made on ASP's, can I use JSP instead?
