Unable to assign BOM and Routing in Production Version

Hello All,

We have a situation. I'm not able to create a production version with BOM and Routing assigned. We should create a PV with suitable BOM and Routing along with REM activated. While creating it we are getting the follwoing error:

BOM and routing cannot be changed. See long text

Message no. KOSA401

Diagnosis

You are attempting to change the entries for the BOM or for detailed or rate-based planning in production version XXX of material YYY in plant ZZZ. Because the controlling level BOM/Routing is assigned to material YYY in plant ZZZ, and because production version XXX is used in repetitive manufacturing, changing the entries for the BOM or for detailed or rate-based planning would result in the use of the wrong product cost collector in repetitive manufacturing for production version XXX. For this reason, it is not permissible to change entries for the BOM or for detailed or rate-based planning in production version XXX.

Can anyone let me why this issue comes and the possible solution to resolve this issue? I'm not able to delete the existing production version (Without BOm and Routing) also as it is displaying the same error message.

Hi NW,

   First check any procurement proposal exist against that version, If yes close it properly .

After closing procurement proposal you can able to set deletion flag to this version or create new version with new validity & assign BOM & Routing to version.

Please check KKF6N .

Note:-Procurement proposal means it may be production order or if externally procure check PR,PO.

Also check cost settlement rule if assign to production order settle it properly.

Hi

You have selected the BOM/Routing while creating Product cost collector for material through KKF6N9 which determines the controlling level for material.you need to change that in T code CKMLMV_CA.

Check and revert

Hi,

     If you are trying to change any production version first check whether any procurement elements are existing in the system. Follow the steps mentioned below

1. Go to KKF6N, give the material and go to header tab. there you will find a order number. Copy this number.
2. Go to KO88. Give the controlling area, the order number, remove the test run heck box and press execute.
3. Again go to KKF6N > Change mode > Menu > Edit > Deletion flag > Set > Save.
4. Go to C223, give the material > Press Enter. Select the production version and change it / delete it & recreate.

Check and revert back.

HI,

I got the same message in the production version when I try to fill "REM Allowed".

I can't follw the steps describe above because I do not have order number cretaed.

Would you have an idea of this error message?
