Workflow issue: decision step not getting into user's inbox

Hi Experts,

There is one decision step in the workflow which is not getting into any users inbox. When we click on Agent’s button we don’t see any agents determined by rule. I checked binding for Rule for that step. A Constant is being passed to it. When we checked simulation of Rule in PFAC, it seems to be working fine. Organizational level data in PPOME is also fine. All users are valid on current date.

Can anyone please suggest what else I can check.

Hi Gundeep,

When you checked the Agents, did you check your user was also a Possible agent (or its a general task) and they are not an excluded agent?

You could also try forwarding it to them from transaction SWI2_ADM1 - that might give you an error message indicating why they couldn't be chosen.

If you are able to change the workflow,  you could also capture the chosen agents using the _RuleResult element of the work item.

Remember the workflow log is showing who was actually chosen after possible agents and excluded agents have been applied - so your rule selection is not necessarily the problem.

Hi,

Did you made sure Agent Assignment is Green for this task in Task Properties. If not, then please try to do agent assignment clicking on button beside that and try again.
