Hi Gurus!
I have multiple infopackage on a single ODS object, each having a different selection. After running the full update, how do I go about the deltas for each infopackage? Would I be running a single delta initialization (without data transfer) for all the infopackages? Or, would I be running delta initialization, then the delta run, then run again the delta initialization for the next infopackage?
Thank you so much!
Maan
Maan,
Luckly you need not run so many init load. After a full load you will now to run the program RSSM_SET_REPAIR_FULL_FLAG. check out OSS note 689964 for more detail. And then you can go for single init load with out data transfer with out giving any selection parameter and followed by delta upload.

Hi Maan,
I beleive you need to run the program only of your TARGET is a ODS. That is what the OSS note states.
The steps you need to do.
If you can combine all conditions into one Infopack, then do it and execute a Init without Data Transfer. You can proceed with your Delta then.
OR
Excute Init. without DataTransfer for all conditions seperately(note that the selections shd not overlap). Then schedule Delta load.
Also note that, howmany ever delta inits you do, you need to schedule only 1 Delta update for your further daily/weekly(or wharever freq.) delta extracts. This will take the selections from ALL the previous inits done.

Hi guys!
Can you give me examples of what do you mean by 'overlapping conditions'?
I've got around 6 infopackages. They're source is an ODS and all going to an InfoCube. I've ran the first delta initialization for the first selection condition then the delta. Then, when I ran the second delta initialization for the second condition, the "<i>Deltas already loaded for request REQU_XXX init. selection; no 2 init</i>"
How do I go about this?
Thank you so much,
Maan
