Hello,
My company want to upgrade the version of Business Objects from XIR2 to XIR3. The problem is with the compatibility with JAVA.
Actually, we have the 1.7 JAVA version (client) and we can't use the properties of a WEBI document (blank).
I read in other forums that the JAVA 1.7 is not compatible with the XIR3.
Are there others who have experienced the same problem ?
Best regards,
Jamal

Hi Jamal,
Yes ! you are right, even the latest version of Business Objects XI 3.1 SP5 supports only Java 1.6.xx .
Please go through the following link to get the supported platform documents (PAR).
http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/boc/articles?rid=/webcontent/uuid/e01d4e05-6ea5-2c10-1bb6-a8904ca76411
Inorder to avoid compatiblity issues, it is recommended to be on the supported platforms...
You can raise a support ticket with SAP, to get any alertnative instead downgrading the Java version on the client's WS.
Regards,
Niranjan.
