Double defect record during result recording in QM

Hello

We are introducing automatic defect functionality in case of

characteristics failure during result recording, however we are getting

double defect record even if one characteristics is failed.

We are using inspection point set up and doing result recording and

valuation at inspection point.

I came across SAP Note 328956 which describes almost similar nature of

issue, however we are using valuation rule "10" and FM associated with

that valuation rule is different than mentioned

Any suggestion on this topic would be appreciated and will be helpful
