Hi All,
What is the asset reinstatement?
In sap it is impact on G/L or only asset transaction.
Which t-code we use for that and when it is retired asset re-uploading process how can possible.
Please help me to understand the transaction.
Regards,
juhi
Dear Juhi,
If the asset was deactivated few months ago until user realised that the asset was not supposedly retired, then usually they can re-instate the asset by using the existing asset no, Goto Asset Master (AS02 change mode) and activate it again. System starts its functioning normally.
Best Luck,

Hi,
Once you reinstate or reactivate the asset, it becomes as if a newly created asset. So now you can use the same and do asset acquisition using T-Code F-90, do depreciation using AFAB, transfer the asset internally using ABUMN or retire the asset using F-92.
So a new identity is developed and the asset can be used.

Malhar
Juhi,
when you want reactivate your assets you only need to delete your Deactivation date. Transaction AS02 or AS92 (old assets). The record will be available to be posted.
