Integrated planing:Setting key figure value to 0 in planing cube

Dear Folks,

I have a plan query which gets data from actual and plan cube. There are situations where no data exists for some fund centers and commitment item combinations.

Hence, these combinations aren't shown in my report.

Ideally i would like to estimate against such combinations.

To suffice such requirements can we generate a default plan amount as 0 so that they are shown in the report. If yes how can we do that.

Awaiting kind advice in this regard.

Thanks,

Kitu

Hi Kitu,

You can use ' Generate Combinations' planning function (standard one) to create new combinations or new records. This planning function will consider master data of characteritics  as reference for new records and assings zero value for key figures. You can limit the no.of records genertated using settings in Info provider tab of planning modeler.

Or you can use characteritic relationships ( from Characteristic properties in Query designer ) to create new combinations agian based on master data.

Thanks

Hello,

I have read that with characteristic relationship concept, you can built combinations. i.e. you can generate combinations (template for planning) based on master data of characters. You can explore this.

You can try to set "Access Type for Result Values" -- > "Masterdata" under Advanced Tab for the characteristics in your query.
