Integrating WAD Queries to SAP EP 6.0

Hi,

We are currently running SAP EP 6.0 Sp2 and BW 3.1 (Content 3.3), WAS 6.20.

Using the web application designer we created 2 queries in BWP and linked it to the Enterprise Portal using a url iView.

The first query contains a simple key figure and the second a complex formula. The first query runs ok but upon executing the second we get the following timeout:-

500 Connection timed out

Connection timed out (-5)

Error: -5

Version: 6020

Component: ICM

Module: icxxthr_mt.c

Line: 2471

Server: HERCULES_BWP_00

Detail: Connection to partner timed out

We tried changing the ICM timeouts on BWP and the timeout parameters on the Portal but have noticed no change.

Please advise on how this can be resolved. ie is it relating to BW Query Optimization, BW Server Optimization , Or EP Optimization or Increasing a particular timeout parameter.
