Exchange rate at billing date in sales order item

Hi All,

We have receive the below requirement from client , can you please check and suggest me your proposal on the same.

At the time of billing , the Accounting document is posted based on the sales order exchange rate

For example in below :

My customer co code currency = USD

Sales order doc currency = EUR

Sales order net value = 10 EUR

Exchange rate at the time of sales order creation = 0.6123

Now the invoice/billing document is posted later 2 months from sales order creation, below is the accounting document.

( In fact, the latest Exchange rate at the billing = 0.9123 )

as of today , my client is not checking and consider any exchange rates at the time of biiling and we posted the accounting document based on sales order exchange rate only.

01 Customer DR 10 EUR / 6.123 (10 * 0.6123 )

50 Sales revenue CR 10 EUR / 6.123 (10 * 0.6123 )

BELOW IS THE NEW REQUIREMENT IN THE SAME PROCESS :

My client keep post the accounting document at sales order only (this already using ) --- NO CHANGE IN EXISTING PROCESS

BUT at the time of billing/ invoice, my client wants to update the latest exchange rate in filed - KKURS-KOMV for all the sales order items through user exit.

And the same user exit will post the one addtional documment of different exchange rate between sales order rate and invoice rate

Ex :

FX adjust account DR - 10 EUR * 2 ( 0.9123-0.6123 ) = 20 USD

Sales adjustment account - CR = 20 USD

Please provide your inputs on this requirement.

Thanks

Ramu
