user complaining about system being slow

Hi all,

some users complaining about the system being very slow and taking longer time to finish a task. i tried to run the same tcode and it responded rightaway. what could be the issue effecting only the user? your help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

if you try the same transaction (also with data to process, not just starting transaction) and it is fast,

1) you may in another network (VLAN,subnet) than your users

-> you need network capapilities to analyze bandwith

2) you reached another application server (did you use Logon groups?)
-> ask users on which applserver they work (system status) or check SM04 for that
and check SM66 and switch to their server by SM51 and try tcode again

3) The frontend device of users may be busy (local HDD) do you use automated software distribution?
-> check your load on frontend devices (I/O, CPU)

4) use teamview to share desktop with endusers and see what they are doing

Hope this gives you a hint where to look

Hi,

First of all you have not mentioned your sap environment like what is os,database,SAP version etc.. If you are using window operation system then you have to face this type of issues. If some usres are complaint for slow but when you are using same is report/t-code are working fine, it mean you clear user temp files, check network connection, check RAM also. For try use keep login only in SAP and try it. I hope your problem will be solve.
