Dear Experts,

SAP SYSTEM-> ECC6.0 ; BASIS-> SAPK70108 ; Kernel-> 710

CI & 1 dialog instance

We have login/no_automatic_user_sapstar set to 1 in DEFAULT profile.

Does it need to set above parameter to 1  in instance profile of CI & Dialog explicitly OR DEFAULT profile value is suffice for both.

Hi Sumit,

If you want to set a parameter for the entire SAP instance, set it in Default or Start profile.

In this case I would suggest you to set it in Start profile.

  Hi Nitesh/shahnas

So it is clear, parameter login/no_automatic_user_sapstar should set to 1 in DEFAULT profile for CI & dialog instance.

Can we remove parameter from CI & dialog instance where it is set as->

login/no_automatic_user_sapstar-> 0  in Instance profile of CI

login/no_automatic_user_sapstar-> 1  in Instance profile of Dialog

Please help???

HI Summit

Once you have the parameter in default profile you can delete it from insatnce profile.

If you specify the parameter in both the profile(default and instnace) SAP takes the value from instance profile in this case it wont take the value from default profile as instance profile value overide the value of default profile.

Thanks

If you set it in DEFAULT profile  no need for it to be  set in instance profile
