Hi Kiran,

If you are using Web template, there is a couple o settings in the attributes of the template to be set.

(x) do not display system messages and

(x) do not display warnings.

Try to change these settings.

In the bex analyzer(excel) there is the same in the tool bar setting.

Cheers,

Mauro.

Hi Mauro,

Thank u very much for the reply. But I want to restrict the messages at the design level itself. That means when the client runs the report in excel he should not see any warning.

Could you please suggest me.

Kiran ,

You have the sane settings in the BeX toolbar but usually if the query is properly designed , you will not get any error or warning. and Excel will not have any warnings similar to " IGS errors etc etc" so I would say good query design is the way out or you could try to find out the exceptions that are being raised , and disable the same. For that do a debug on the query through RSRV and find out the various funcion modules being used and their exceptions.

Hi Kiran,

You can restrict the display of messages in RSRT. Just type in your query technical name and click the Messages button. It lists out the different messages which you can then click and suppress.

Hope this helps...
