ABUMN Depreciation issue

Dear Experts,

I have a scenario, were i am doing an asset transfer using ABUMN. After the transfer of i observe that depreciation is getting planned in source asset and in target asset it is skipping.

Source Asset

Period controls : 02/02/02/02

Depreciation completed till 31/08/2012

Target Asset

Period Controls : 11/11/02/02

ABUMN Transfer

Doc Date : 31/08/2012

Posting : 01/09/2013

Asset value Date 31/08/2012

After the transfer in Source asset we see for Period 9 depreciation is getting planned and in Target asset depreciation is getting planned from 10.

Ideally depreciation should get planned from Period 9 in my Target asset, since depreciation is completed till Aug 2012 in my source asset.

Could you any one help on this.

Hi,

Please check whether after transfer of Asset, you had deactivated the Source Asset or not as after deactivating Asset only the system will stop any activity on that particular asset.

Thanks for response.. Actually i am referring to, after the ABUMN i observe that in my source asset the depreciation is in planned for September and in Target asset it is in October.

Ideally in my Target asset it should be planned under 9,10,11 &12 months.

I am transferring an Asset which has got depreciation till August 2012. I am transferring with the below dates in ABUMN

Doc Date : 31/08/2012

Posting Date : 01/09/2012

Asset Value Date : 31/08/2012 (Since till August it is got depreciated)

Could you please advise how to avoid the depreciation which is getting planned in Sep for source asset

Ajay, try changing the Period Controls in the traget asset and see if it works.

Thanks for reply.. I did happen to change the period controls to 01, 11 and 16 but the results were not satisfactory.

may be depreciation completed till 30.09.2012

source is looking for dep. reversal in 09

target is looking for the dep. in 10
