Parameter Panel 'Apply' Button Causes Wait Cursor To Remain for Viewer Page Background

winform vb.net VS2010 viewer app using CR for VS 2010. If a user changes a parameter value in the parameter panel, and then clicks the 'Apply' button, after the report reloads with the new parameter value, a Wait Cursor remains for the Gray Area outside the page boundaries in the viewer control.

I can't find a way to avoid that behavior.  Is this a known issue? Any solutions?

Hi Ido,

What service pack are you using ?

Could you try testing with CR for VS 2010 SP4?

Does it happen with all the reports?

I just tried to test this with a quick winapp with VS 2010 + CR VS 2010 SP4.

I couldnot reproduce the issue, so is definitely not a bug.

Could you post a screenshot of how does the " Wait Cursor remains for the Gray Area outside the page boundaries in the viewer control" look like.

Image is at: http://screencast.com/t/h2V0r8WM4J

Screen capture doesn't grab the cursor, so I had to copy & paste an image of a cursor on top of the captured image.

Thanks for the quick response and the test!

Just to clarify, the wait cursor problem does NOT apply to moving the cursor over the page.  It applies only to the gray frame area on the outside of the page.

I see quite a few extra buttons on the viewer .

I am wondering if you could reproduce the issue with a simple sample application in the same environment. Just to load and view report with win viewer. I guess you have some thid party components installed which are integrating with the viewer.

Yes, it's a viewer application with several extra features.  But I believe my code doesn't cause the wait cursor.

Perhaps I need to repeat that the cursor behaves fine when hovering over the report page, over the toolbar, over the parameter panel, etc.  The problem is only when hovering over the gray area in the frame outside the page boundaries.  And only after clicking the Apply button following a change in parameter value in the parameter panel (No problem with a regular parameter dialog).

Could you please confirm that this is what you tested?

Thanks.
