Hi PS gurus,
I have a client requirement of a Project planning cockpit where they will plan for future year projects. Client does not have PPM and this has to be designed within the scope of PS only.
Client normally makes a annual plan for the projects they are willing to do next year in paper and then they send the list to head office. Head office approves or rejects some/all the projects. Then next year they actually start the projects which were approved. So when they are planning they do not want to create actual project number.
Is there any option in standard PS module that such a requirement can be handled?
Please suggest.
Thanks,
Arnab
Hi Arnab,
You have posted it in wrong forum. You should have posted it SAP PS forum.
If you want to do planning in system, then it has to have a number. That's standard and there is no way of doing project cost estimation/ planning in system, without creating project.
You mentioned they are willing to do outside the system.
If you still want to do it in system, You can explore using simulation projects in PS. But remember, even simulation projects will have project code. Once the project gets approved, they can create operative project with simulation project.
You can create different coding mask for simulation and operative projects to differentiate.

Hi Arnab,
If they do not want to create actual project number then how planning is possible in PS. It would be completely on paper work not possible in SAP PS.
