Auto storage location creation when save Purchase Order

Hi experts,

Is it possible to create storage location automatically when we save purchase order ?

If it is, what should I do with configuration or master data?

Hi,

Storage location is not a mandatory field in PO, or in other words eventhough the SLoc mentioned in PO still can be changed at the time of GR.

Hence SAP provided a functionality "Create Storage Location Automatically" for plant and for movement type.

The functionality is not provided during PO creation, It's designed in goods receipt.

As suggested, you can activate in OMB3.

Hi,

In ME21N tcode  on manu bar click personal settings (ctrl+F1) click defalt values click PO Item now give you stor.loca.

This stor.loca is came all plants so its not recamanded

   In PO atomatic storage location its not posible if your organization only one plant and one stor.loca its posible or you create materials under the palnt single stor.loca. As per my SAP understanding.

In inventory management purpos you maintain setings OMB3 & OLME-->Inventory Management and Physical Inventory-->Plant Parameters.

here system pick the stor.loc under plant and material maintained stor.loc if number of sto.loc is there system pick.

the auto storage location creation functionality can only be defined by plant and movement type.
