Activation of CRM standard reports


Hello experts,

I am a newbie in CRM and have no knowledge on reports.We are working on CRM 7.0. We have a requirement that standard CRM reports should be activated and these reports should be available in CRM Web UI. Our BI consultant has no idea about CRM reports. Can any one provide any configuration document related to activation of CRM standard reports. Do we need BI at all for Standard reports?? Is standard report same as interactive reports??? Is it suporting in CRM 7.0????Urgent response will be higly appreciated.
