Hi,
I am trying to create a universe in IDT and I am receiving an error when trying to insert a table. Everything created successfully upon inserting a table. The error is "[Microsoft][ODBC SQL SERVER Driver][SQL SERVER]The cursor was not declared". I tried researching on the web but nothing pop up. Have anyone ever ran across this problem? Any help is appreciated. I have attach a screen shot below.
Thanks
Hung
Hi Hung,
Did you solve this problem?
I have the same. I can connect to MS SQL from UDT, but I get the same error from IDT.

Anton.

Hung,
Did you make sure the ODBC driver installed is 64-bit and using the SQL Native 2005 or higher. Did you try testing the ODBC driver using Universe designer as well to make sure ODBC driver is working properly.
If the client is installed on the same machine, you will need to create 32-bit and 64-bit ODBC with the same DSN name.

Ajay

Hi Ravi,
Thanks for the reply. If the user did not have the appropriate rights to the SQL database which is SQL Server, wouldn't I get the same error in the Universe Design Tool like the Information Design Tool? I can see and insert table in the UDT but I can not in IDT. The database I connecting to is located on a different server.
