CG50 Report Management - Report Additional info doesn't show number of pages

In Report Management (CG50), the reports created used to have a number in Size in Pages field in the Additional Information screen (click on blue I icon), but for some reasons, the reports generated recently shows '0' in Size in Pages field, eventhough Size in bytes field contains a value (for example: 449462).

Please advice why this is happenning and how to fix it?

You can enable/disable the optimization with following section of the

    WWI.INI of your generation server:

    ;disable raw report optimization

This will make the page number available, however the generation is considerably slower, so this is

    not suggested.

    HI David,

you have an answer, if you are able to differentiate the reports which does have the "size in pages" and which doesn't.

What i meant here - what is the process you followed to create the report. is it from specification work bench manually? by choosing the generation variant........if yes, what is the status of the report in CG50?

or you used CG36VEN/ CG36 to import the report?

In this case you can manually fill the field - Doc. size in pages.

    The same appears in CG50.

while using the CG36VEN, the above field is mandatory and not accepts the blan value (or) "0".

If you have answers for above, we can discuss in more detailed.

    • Dear David

the number of pages of the report is stored in "DRAW" field "RES4". By whatever reason: during the process to store the WWI document in DMS the field is not updated. As you topic is general (dev, test, prod) there might be a problem in DMS set up. I have never have had scuh a problem in the past.

I found the function group: C14S there some function modules exits which might be responisble for the "correct" calculation of the page number. Refer to e.g.:

You should check other documents in DMS (not WWI ones). May be the some problem exists there too.
