Dear All

My requirement is to create s.order with delivery dates in past.
When doing this, confirmed quantity is becoming as zero for past dates
and for present date conifirmed quantity is becoming as 1 under the schedule line
tab.
Due to this, not able to create delivery for past date (eg:01st Dec)

Getting the below Error:

Order cannot be delivered (see long text)
Message no. VL461

No schedule lines due for delivery up to the selected date

Note: Earlier, I could create delivery for past dates. Checked in material master but could not
find any relevant data.

How to make the material available for past date with confirmed quantity.

Anticipating early reply pls..

Regards
Rajesh

Hi, Rajesh

We have a field called ACTUAL GI DATE  in VL01N overview screen, you can mention the date which you want i.e; past date and create deliver.

I hope your problem will be solve.

Dear All

Finally I could create delivery only by entering past date in 'Actual GI' Date Field

during delivery creation.

Hi,

Deactivate Propose Delivery date in your order type and test.

Do revert if it is not working

Hi

'Propose Delivery date' at order type has been activated for both Dev & QA.

Where as I have issue only with Dev System for this scenario.

Have checked in VOV6 and found that availability check is not activated in  both the system.

Requesting your help on this.

When in QA its possible, what would be the reason for not happening in Dev System.

Hi

Confirmed Qty is becoming as 1 only for today's date under 'schedule line tab' at sales order.

In this case, delivery (VL01N) is not possible with past date.

While creating s.o for past date, 2 line items are getting created for schedule line.

* one with zero confirmed quantity for past date (Eg: 01st Dec)

* Another one with confirmed Qty as 1 for today's date (Eg:11th Dec)

Anyone can help me on this !!!

Thanks & Regards

Rajesh,

This is standard functionality.

If you had created and confirmed the sales order yesterday (December 10) for a confirmed date of December 10, then today you can create a delivery for December 10, which is in the past.  However, the delivery ill still have a Material availability date of 'today' (December 11) and the scheduled PGI date will be scheduled accordingly (equal to or later than the material availability date).

In general, SAP Availability check will not create a confirmed material availability date in a sales order earlier than 'today', since that would be illogical.  SAP ATP logic dictates that one cannot confirm that something will be delivered in the past, since it didn't actually happen.  If this behavior does not meet your business requirements, turn off availability checking.

Hi

Availability check is already turned off.

At QA system, we could create delivery for past dates whereas in Dev system, delivery for past dates is not possible.

Please help me on this.

Rajesh,

You are saying that Availability checking in Dev is turned off.  What makes you say this?  What did you check to determine this fact?

Dear Rajesh,

Since this working fine in QAS and not in DEV, it might be something related to the master data which you are using for testing (assuming the configurations are all in Sync between the systems)

Can you check whether fixed date and Qty is ticked in schedule line tab while creating the sales order.

Rajesh,

If you are saying that in VOV6, that Availability is 'checked', and in all other places (including master data) availability checking is activated, then you cannot get a confirmation date in your sales order in the past.  This is SAP's design.  You can, however, still create the delivery, providing that the Selection date in the VL01N screen is equal to or greater than the confirmed date in the sales order.

Don't ask me now why your dev system acts differently from your qual, it is because they contain different data and settings.  You need to compare ALL the relevant config and ALL the relevant master data and ALL the relevant enhancements to determine the object(s) that are causing the differences.

This is kind of a deadend topic.  I question why anyone would even want to create a delivery today with a Selection date of 'yesterday', since it is impossible to actually deliver parts 'yesterday' against a delivery that didn't exist 'yesterday'. I am reluctant to continue this conversation, unless you can be a bit clearer of exactly what you are trying to accomplish.

Availability check is turned off at all the places.

Would like to create delivery for past dates to simulate some business scenarios for the purpose of testing.

Dear Rajesh,

Have you compared the material master data with the one you use in Quality for similar testing?

Rajesh,

Did you turn off availability checking for the requirements class found in your Sales order?

Hi rajesh it is probably not possible Bçoz although you create dlv date in past ,for example a sales order is created on today date and you are going to change the dlv date, systems check avçheck in sales order today and informs that on future day the  material may available. If you do dlv date in future systems cannot show scheduline--which  your current issue.

alternatively you process it--- by activate backward scheduling indicator in transport and scheduling tab. or Make system date in past

Venu,

you are telling turn off the availability checking for the requirements class

You are mistaken.  I did not tell Rajesh to do anything.  He stated that he had already turned off availability checking, and I asked him a followup question.
