BW/BO on DB2 vs Other databases...

Request you to share your experience, inputs, leads on BW & BO performance comparison (data loads, query runtimes etc.) when on DB2 platform vs. other databases. Thanks!

Hi Sudhanshu,

BW and BO are two different scenarios and I have used DB2  and Oracle for both the products.

For BO database is not a major consideration while comes to performance and configuration issues.

I have installed and configured BOBJ 4.0 on IBM DB2 LUW , so far I did not see any issue. I have user base of 5000 crystal report users, 500 Dashborad users and 6000 BW users.

For BW - DB2 is better option than any other database - as it has fetures like

-- data compression.

-- partitions and

-- performance.
