Hi All.

What adjustments are necessary in SAP R/3 for access with JCO?

Many thanks for answers.

And whether there is a difference in properties of access between SUPGUI and JCO?

For example, I set in JCO parameters of access as in SAPGUI but I receive a mistake: ERROR connection to partner broken.

Whether It is possible to forbid access through connectors (JCO)?

Hi Nick,

You have to configure your SLD first for that. Then you have to configure your JCO in webdynpro content administrator.

check following posts:

Hi Nick,

What exactly error it is giving? Just provide that error.

I guess you have not made entry in services file for port mapping.

Make following entry in services file:

sapms<System ID> 36<instance num>/tcp

then press enter and save this file.

Now restart server and check again.

Hi Nick,

You can access only Function modules from outside SAP. And those function modules should be RFC enabled. That's it. No other adjustments required at R/3 side.

can you clarify your question? If you are acessing the R/3 via JCO from outside then you don't need to do anything on R/3.

Hi Nick,

I agree with Prakash, you don't need anything to do on R3 side to access using Jco.
