Can we assign different notification types to different plants in SAP PM

Hi Expert,

1. Can we assign different notification types to different plants in SAP PM?I know that for PM order we can do it in config but cant it be done for PM notification .

2.  Can we assign different equipment category for different plants in SAP PM.

Actually the business requirement is such tat they hav different plants in different country and for each different plant they need different equipment category and notification type.Can you plz guide me on achieving this requirement

You can not create notification type in different plat however you can control usage of different equipment category and notification type in diff plant base on authorization objects.

No.  Notifications are meant to be client level. Not plant level.  In a nutshell, the same quality system, (i.e. compliant against vendor, customer complaint, internal issue), should all be handled in similar fashioin so all plants and issues are evaluated against the same criteria and all things are handled in the same manner.

But as we know this is often not practical in larger companies with multiple divisions and a wide number of processes.

So yes you can create different notification types. But you can't base them on plants. You can train your users to use the proper notification for their facility though.
