One Transfer Order per Production Order Operation

Hello Experts,

Does SAP create one transfer order per production order operation ?

I allocated materials to specific operation in Router

Material A allocated to operation 10,

Material B allocated to operation 20.

my expectation was that SAP generates one transfer order per operation. But once I create a production order system generated 1 transfer order including Material A & B.

1.) What is SAP std. behaviour ?

2.) How can I tell the system to create on transfer order per operation.

Thanks in advance

Jörg

    Hi,

Transfer order (TO) is not created for the operations, TO is created when goods movement happen (in case of production order when doing the goods issue of components) in the system if WM-PP integration is active.

    System behaviour is

    1. When no prod sched profile is used or when PSP is used with WM request = blank Under Transport, system creates separate TR's alone (for different components assigned to different production operations) which later get converted into TO/TOs manually.

    2. With Prod sched profile WM request setting = X, even though diff components are assigned to diff operations, system clubs all individual requirements against 1 TR referencing the diff components as multiple line items. Later TO gets created again manually.

    3. Your scenario specified is because of WM request = 1 in the PSP, because of which all components are clubbed into one TR(results as similar as setting X above) . Difference between 2 and 3 is auto TO creation is referenced in the TR created in this case. Eventhough auto creation indicator is marked it is not automatic and your OMKZ settings decide how your TO is created in the background along with the execution of RLAUTA10 program.

TO has got nothing to do with the actual order/operation. It ends with the TR's w.r.to production order.

    Please check and revert back.
