Last changed by a background user

Dear Experts,

I have an info package which has "BW_BGD_USR" in the Last changed field in InfoPackage. Just trying to find who changed it and also does it mean that this has been scheduled as a background job or autmated somehow? I checked, the infoPack is not in any process chain nor in any InfoPackage group. What could be it?

I appreciate any kind of help.

Thanks.

Hi Visu,

In this scenario, even though you dont save the InfoPackage, the outcome is still reflected and the Last Changed is not updated.

In the infopackage under the tab DATA TARGETS, edit the Automatic Loading status and dont save it. Still you will see, it is affected.

Hai Praveen,

What I mean to ask is who does BW_BGR_USER" is?

Hi,

in the infopackage, the LAST CHANGED BY is the last person who made changes to the InfoPackage. It doesn't mean that he executed. But do consider the exceptions too.

Hi Visu,

To find where the infopackage is being used you can see the scheduler tab you might have a "Process chain" button there if it is used in one. From the user you quoted it looks like it was run by a process chain.

Also check whether there was any transport of the infopackage(remote chance).

Last change doesn't mean, it has changed, even if it is executed using a PC, it would show as last changed. Look at load monitor(RSMO) and check if there was a data load on that day at that time, probably u can figure out looking at monitor details. see if there are any loads that took place around same time.

Hi Visu,

They is no pre-defined user as such. It could have been created to run automated process or background jobs from other source system. It COULD mean that it is a part of process chain, but as you mentioned there no such PC, it might be once in a Process Chain and the PC must have been deleted later. But definetly it was once run in background or automated.

Or there might be someone who is creating such user id and playing around

Hope u will figure it out

Hai Gokul,

Thanks for the reply. You are directly to my point. If the infopackage is in any of the process chains, it should show up in two places. Once when I am opening the infoPack and other in the schedule tab having a process chain sysmbol on it. So, may be you are right. The PC would have been deleted..but thats very recent. The date of last change was 5/25/05 and my manager has no idea. Do you think there could be any other reasons?

Thanks a lot.
