Select options in module pool 'The entered selections were not accepted'

Hi all,

I have created select options in module pool using subscreen and everything seems to work fine except in the case, in change mode when we select the extension button and just close it using the 'Close' ( x mark) button at the right top or right bottom it throws a message 'The entered selections were not accepted' even though we did not attempt to enter values.

Can anyone tell me how to rectify this, or this is how SAP works?
