Exclude multiple single values in filter screen of dimensions

Hello -

In BEx Analyzer it is possible to exclude a bunch of single values in a single shot. But I do not see a similar option in Analysis for office where i have to manually exclude 1 selection at a time!

Is there a way to accomplish this in the filter screen?

Regards,

Sudheer B.

Check out this suggestion on Idea Place

If it doesn't work for you or if you don't see an existing idea for it, then I recommend submitting a new one

Thanks for the quick reply. This approach of adding '!' at the beginning of value does not seem to support exclusion of multiple values at the same time.

Our users want to exclude a few articles instead of including hundreds of articles in the search. Hence an option of selecting those few articles and excluding them from the output would be a great value add.

Is there any other option? If not, I shall log this into the idea place.

I think it is a good candidate for Idea Place

The alternative (although not attractive) is to do it in BEx query but that is static and not interactive.

Yes, that is not an attractive option for us as the list of articles is not static. Thanks though! Have a good holiday season.

Hi Sudheer,

I know its not exactly what you are looking for but you could also do the following. Put the filter in the background filters--> Select Filter-->Swithc to individual Selection then copy and pay your list of itms using standard windows copy on the bottome of the screen there is a paste from clip board option.
